Terry’s 2017 album “Stargazer” was a particular watershed, as he took the unusual path of recording it with just a core trio, augmented by a string quartet. Throughout his career, he’s played all over the world in a variety of formats, from solo shows to band gigs, while building a loyal fan base with his literate, heartfelt songs about people we can all recognize. After graduating from Boston’s Berklee College of Music, he spent five years as a songsmith, working for a publishing company on Music Row in Nashville. Terry has certainly paid his dues as a songwriter. Terry also has a two-volume album of covers, “Forget-Me-Nots Volume One and Two” due out in February, and he’s selectively releasing those songs as a series of four-song EPs. “Peace,” out now, is a holiday album that finds Terry interpreting 20 classics of the season. But with a new album finished and scheduled for release in May 2020, and a relentless touring schedule that kept him on the road much of the year, the pandemic shutdown threatened even his hopeful outlook.īut Terry has made good use of the downtime, finally released that album, “When We Wander,” in May of this year, and has two new double-album projects.
